When introducing a new employee to the team, you’ll want to create a relaxed and conversational environment to help the new employee feel comfortable. A great way to do that is to ask your team questions to help break the ice, get to know each other better, and create a warm and friendly environment for the new team member. Having a variety of questions, some purely business-related, some a little more personal, and ones just for fun, will provide a good mix. Depending how frequently you have a new employee, and the tenure of the current employees, you’ll want to switch around the questions, so your team doesn’t have to continually answer the same questions each time you have a new hire. Keep things interesting and fun so even the employees that have worked for you for years can get to know each other better. Here are some ideas to help you get started; having around 4-5 questions total (with 1-2 questions from each category) should be a good amount.
